Sharon Zargary

Sharon Zargary is a multidisciplinary artist who lives and works in Israel.

“Bronze is a challenging material. It has a classic presence, and makes the sculpture eternal, it occupies time. Making something modern with such a classic material is interesting. I had the same experience with marble. It brings up associations of figurative sculptures and impacts what you imagine making from it, and it’s a challenge to break these preconceptions and create something different.”

Resume

Zargary’s work has appeared in solo and group exhibitions in Israel and worldwide and he has won a number of awards including the Bezalel Academy Excellence award and a citation by the J.C.I. for achievements in drawing. He holds a Master’s in Sculpture from the Brera Academy in Milan, Italy, and a BFA from the Bezalel Academy for Art and Design in Jerusalem, Israel.
