He is interested and inspired by rituals, ancient rituals in particular, often creating gods and totems. Therefore, bronze was very natural for him conceptually, although lack of access had prevented him from using it in the past.
For this collection, he selected pieces that are inspired by ritual and by archeological remnants, including works from a Tel Aviv exhibition that focused on sacrifices. “The ritualism is connected to bronze, it’s connected to ancient sculpture,” he explains. “Making something from bronze makes it more eternal, above time, and that is something that I want to experience.”
